I am an attorney with 43 years of experience in litigation and 38 years of experience in real estate transactions, including real estate secured transactions. I have a B.A. in Economics from Northwestern University and a J.D. from UCLA School of Law.
I presently represent mortgage brokers, private investors, borrowers, trustees, realtors, lenders, attorneys and a state court receiver, among others, in real estate and real estate finance transactions, as well as related litigation matters.
I have extensive background in reviewing loan documents for modification and otherwise, and foreclosure documents and procedures for possible violations of California law. I also have extensive experience litigating with lenders on behalf of borrowers. This litigation normally involves seeking injunctions to stay the foreclosure, including the holding of a foreclosure trustee’s sale. Less frequent is the situation where I am called upon to regain title for the borrower following the trustee’s sale.
